Wilson Benesch Horizon – 2.5-way standmount monitor

The Horizon is the seventh model in the Wilson Benesch Fibonacci Series and the most compact floorstanding loudspeaker in the reference line. It embodies over thirty years of research and development in a unique loudspeaker design: compact, powerful, and musically engaging.

TECHNOLOGY

Biocomposite Technology: A.C.T. 3zero Monocoque

At the heart of the Horizon is the new A.C.T. 3zero monocoque enclosure. Constructed from bio-based high-performance composites, it combines extreme stiffness with targeted damping to suppress cabinet resonances effectively. Crafted entirely in Sheffield, the enclosure follows the principles of maximum material efficiency – inspired by nature.

High-Resolution Sound Architecture

The Horizon is configured as a 2.5-way system. Two 170 mm Tactic 3.0 drive units provide powerful bass and midrange performance with exceptional impulse control. The Fibonacci tweeter, with its precision carbon fibre faceplate and silk dome, extends the frequency range up to 30 kHz with absolute clarity and detail. All drive units are proprietary designs, fully developed and manufactured in-house at Wilson Benesch.

Design Meets Function

The flowing lines of the Horizon are both acoustically and aesthetically optimised. The streamlined enclosure shape reduces standing waves and improves dispersion. New finishes such as Black Eclipse and Olivine underscore the sculptural elegance of the Horizon.
